Shawn serves as the Projects and Planning Specialist for the MWMO. He works with communities, partners, and staff to implement MWMO’s Watershed Management Plan and Capital Improvement Projects. This includes capital project grant management, land acquisition, and resource restoration, non-point source pollution prevention, restorative water resource planning, and ensuring that efforts achieve the mission, goals, policies, and standards in the MWMO Watershed Management Plan. He previously worked as a Planner with the City of Bloomington, and assisted in creating the Minnesota River Valley Natural and Cultural Systems Plan. He holds a Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and has a variety of experience in city planning, community capacity building, natural resource restoration, and outdoor recreation and conservation planning.
