Water Quality Fair
Please join us from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Fuller Park (4800 Grand Ave S) for our first-ever Water Quality Fair! Stop by to play games, win door prizes, talk to Master Water Stewards and other water specialists, check out interactive exhibits, learn how to protect our water resources through simple home practices and grab a hot beverage and snacks. Exhibitors from Mississippi Watershed Management Organization, Minnehaha Creek Watershed District, Westwood Consulting, the Master Water Steward Program, the Wetland Health Evaluation Program, Tangletown Neighborhood Association, Minnesota Pollution Control Agency and the City of Minneapolis Adopt-a-Drain program will be present at the fair. This is a free event, so please bring friends and family!
Volunteer for Neighborhood Leaf Raking in Tangletown
Many of our Tangletown neighbors struggle to rake their leaves each fall. You can make a huge difference by volunteering on Saturday, Nov. 5, from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. Grab your rake or leaf blower, meet at Fuller Park to grab a cookie and some hot apple cider, and head out for a fun afternoon. This is a great family service activity and children and youth are very welcome to participate. Sign up as a team or individually and we can assign you to a team. To ensure we have enough bags and extra rakes, please SIGN UP by October 29th. When finished with leaf raking, volunteers are encouraged to enjoy the Water Quality Fair.
