Columbia Golf Course undergoing $7.4 million in drainage work

Columbia Golf Course will dry out better after rain, but it’s going to take some time.

The hilly track, owned by the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board, is undergoing a multimillion-dollar drainage project. The golf course improvements are part of the larger joint effort between the Mississippi Watershed Management Organization, the city of Minneapolis, and the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) to better handle water drainage and keep pollutants out of the Mississippi River.The total cost of the project is expected to be roughly $7.4 million, according to government officials.
