The Executive Director / Administrator serves as the principal administrator for the Board of Commissioners of the Mississippi Watershed Management Organization.
The Executive Director:
- Develops, implements and oversees watershed policies, projects, programs and regulations;
- Oversees capital projects while taking directions from the board;
- Sets board agendas and produces board reports;
- Is responsible for finances (including all accounts, levy receipts, disbursements, contracts, grants and audits);
- Updates and revises the Joint and Cooperative Agreement, the Watershed Management Plan and the bylaws, as directed by the board;
- Represents the MWMO at meetings, conferences and with the media;
- Prepares and makes presentations to member communities, elected councils, staff and citizens; and
- Communicates and acts as a liaison with MWMO technical advisory committees (TACs), elected officials, staff, and citizens.
