Akadia Johnson is the Communications Manager at the Mississippi Watershed Management Organization (MWMO), where they use strategic storytelling to connect diverse audiences with the organization’s mission. Akadia has developed communication strategies for government, nonprofit, and editorial organizations including the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis Public Schools, and Twin Cities Geek Magazine. Their work spans technical writing and editing, video production, digital marketing, and strategic content development, focusing on bridging the gap between technical information and public understanding by turning complex ideas into stories that inform, inspire, and drive action. They hold a B.A. in Communications with a specialization in Media Production and a minor in Technical Writing from the University of Minnesota, as well as a Certificate in Integrated and Strategic Communication Campaigns from the University of Colorado Boulder.
