MWMO facility shows how storm water works

Overlooking the steel-cabled Lowry Avenue Bridge and an industrial stretch of the Mississippi River in Northeast Minneapolis, the Mississippi Watershed Management Organization’s headquarters stands out. The two-level, 11,200-square-foot building’s variegated façade, at 2522 Marshall St., offers sections of blue and earth tone panels and metal exterior. The front yard has native gardens and the gently descending backyard offers landscaping devoted to managing rain water.
